In memory of William Tyndale, who is remembered on this day, October 6, for being martyred in 1536, for giving us the New Testament in English from the Greek in 1526. 500 years. Below is today’s reading from Colossians chapter 1, paragraph C: (vs.13-17).
C 13 Which hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son,
14 in whom we have redemption through his blood, that is to say the forgiveness of sins,
15 which is the image of the invisible God, first begotten of all creatures.
16 For by him were all things created, things that are in heaven, and things that are in earth: things visible and things invisible: whether they be majesty or lordship, either rule or power. All things are created by him, and in him,
17 and he is before all things, and in him all things have their being.
